EMERGENCY refuge

Launched initially as a hostel initiative in 2022 to provide refuge for IDPs, OHU’s emergency refuge program has since evolved to focus on stocking school bomb shelters with first aid supplies, non-perishables, heaters, blankets, and other essentials. Additionally, we respond to emergency crises, providing immediate support to those in need. In 2024 alone, OHU assisted 254 individuals with urgent needs, including providing children with bomb shelter backpacks and helping families recover after an attack on Izmail. This support included covering medical expenses, assisting with rent, and supplying building materials such as bricks, roofing, windows, and doors.
