OHU’s food distribution program aims to alleviate hunger and economic hardships among individuals residing in southern Ukraine. This program prioritizes three vulnerable groups: the elderly and individuals with disabilities, internally displaced people (IDPs) and families with financial difficulties, and students of Izmail’s Educational and Rehabilitation Center.
Servicing these cities and villages:
Izmail, Matroska, Broska, Kam’yanka, Ozerne, Saf’yany, Utkonosivka, Kyslytsya, and Novoselivka
February 2023: Program Launch
October 2023: Launch of food distribution to Izmail’s Specialized School #5
November 2023: Expansion to 3 new villages – Saf’yany, Utkonosivka, and Kyslytsya
Aid Totals: 18,708 food packages served
Food Distribution for the Elderly/Individuals with Disabilities:
Serve food packages to 469 individuals weekly
Food Distribution for IDPs & Families with Financial Hardships:
Finance food packages & other necessary goods for 191 individuals bi-weekly
Food Distribution for Students of Izmail’s Specialized School #5: Serve 260 meals/snacks monthly
