OHU honors the sacrifices of Ukrainian soldiers and veterans who have immigrated to the United States. Many face physical trauma from frontline service and must undergo extensive surgeries.
OHU partners with The Chicago Association of Veterans of WWII to provide its members with food assistance and access to social gatherings at commemorative events.
OHU extends its support to Ukrainian veterans of russia’s war who are seeking community and assistance in the U.S.
MAJOR milestones
February 2022: First collection of firefighter equipment/gear began
- Procured 200 tons of PPE and firefighter gear for Kharkiv firefighters/first responders
April 2022: Representatives attended FDIC 2022
April 2023: Sponsored Ukrainian firefighter’s participation at the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) Initiative
