OUR team

Tanya Polsky is originally from Ukraine and currently resides in Chicago, IL. She has a strong financial background in the banking industry and was employed by notable financial institutions such as Lehman Brothers and Northern Trust.

Tanya received top honors from Izmail State University in Ukraine. She continued her educational accomplishments in the United States by receiving a prestigious MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Tanya has held several prominent non-profit board positions for local and global charities. She is an enthusiastic visionary and philanthropist who dedicates her life to volunteer service while juggling being a wife and the mother to four children. Tanya and her family have humble roots and feel passionate about the importance of education, helping others, and giving back to the community.

Every Ukrainian must contribute to this terrible struggle no matter where they are or what they do now. It is our duty. We help refugees and displaced persons, pensioners and veterans, families with many children, special services, and the military. Of course, it is physically impossible to cover the entire country, but we are making every effort for our speedy victory and peace. National unity and compassion are what separate Ukrainians from all other nations. We work with people directly, providing temporary housing and meals, opening an educational center for children, distributing meals and food packages, organizing trips for children, and providing resources and information.

Viktor is one of the key figures of Our Home Ukraine (OHU). He is known throughout OHU’s service areas as a reliable, trustworthy, and empathic individual. Before conceptualizing OHU with our founder, Tanya, Viktor had been an active volunteer within his community. He manages all the workflow processes in Ukraine and coordinates employees, volunteers, and partners to help bring peace to those in need.

Kateryna joined OHU to help people. She works with many individuals, including large families living in the Odesa region, and coordinates several projects, such as providing cultural enrichment opportunities to local children. After working in the legal field for over 12 years, Kateryna now channels all her energy into supporting people affected by war.

Antonina supervises OHU’s financial operations. Although most of her work is done behind the scenes, she is proud to be a part of OHU’s team. Antonina is pleased to make a difference working with an organization that does everything it can to alleviate human suffering.

Oleksandra is a welcomed figure to many of OHU’s beneficiaries. She brings groceries and medical supplies to seniors, bedridden individuals, and people with disabilities. Before the war, Oleksandra worked as a kindergarten teacher, but after the invasion, her situation changed. Oleksandra is happiest when working with people. She has been a part of OHU’s team for over six months and is always willing to volunteer her time to help us with our impactful initiatives.

Natalia recognizes that at this difficult time of war, we must do everything we can to help those in need, including families who have lost a loved one, the elderly, single mothers, large families living below the poverty line, etc. This is why she decided to join the staff at OHU. In her role as administrator, Natalia communicates with individuals seeking help and guides them through the application process. She is glad to be a part of a team that values human dignity and takes significant strides to lessen people’s suffering.

Olena is from the Kherson region. Due to the occupation of the city, she was forced to move with her family to Odesa. She has a degree in economics and worked in the civil service for more than 10 years. Since the start of the war, Olena has been interested in channeling her energy into photography and videography. She is very eager to use her new found passions to create content for OHU.
