Petrovirivka, Ukraine – November 3, 2024 – Our Home Ukraine Foundation (OHU) is excited to announce that 40 newly refurbished laptops have arrived at the Municipal Institution “Petrovirivka Art Lyceum of Odesa Regional Council.” This project, five months in the making, is in collaboration with Belmont Trading, UAExpress, and the school’s director, Natalia Heorhivna, and informatics teacher, Raisa Volodymyrivna.
The laptops have been expertly tested and refurbished to perform like new, showcasing OHU’s strong commitment to sustainability. This state-of-the-art technology will replace the outdated laptops from the early 2000s that the children currently depend on, empowering them to access cutting-edge learning tools and programs. This transformation will profoundly enhance their educational experience and align with the standards set by Ukraine’s Ministry of Education. In the next phase, OHU will work with the school to expand the informatics program, offering students an extra six hours each week to practice and improve their technical skills and understanding.
“Our Home Ukraine is dedicated to providing educational opportunities for every child,” said Tanya Polsky, Founder of Our Home Ukraine Foundation. “This initiative is an important step in ensuring that students in rural areas can thrive in a fast-paced digital world.”
Our Home Ukraine NGO, together with its US-based counterpart, Our Home Ukraine Foundation are dedicated to alleviating human suffering through twelve targeted programs. These initiatives focus on social services, culture and education, peace and security, reconstruction, and support for the Ukrainian diaspora.
